Matlacha Pass Aquatic Preserve Offered daily from our on the water facility this trip provides a guided exploration of the mangrove wilderness. This mangrove system is "Florida's rainforest" providing sustenance for a variety of marine life. Calusa Indians paddled these very same waters over a thousand years ago. Approximately 3 hours. Departs daily at 9:00AM.

Sunset is a colorful and relaxing time to be on the water. On this two hour trip we identify and share information about the bird life of the Matlacha Pass Aquatic Preserve. Common birds we see include osprey, great blue and little blue herons, roseate spoonbills, and white ibis. Bald eagles may be seen and white pelicans are common winter visitors. This trip is offered daily, except Monday. Due to daylight savings time and seasonal variations, please call for launch times.

We depart before sunset on this romantic paddle and celebrate the day's end. Marvel at the full moon as it rises over the waters of Matlacha Pass Aquatic Preserve. This trip is offered once a month on the full moon. Howl at the moon with us!
